"greatest and most successful Swiss sportsperson in history"[edit]

Currently in the lead: "In his home country, he is regarded as "the greatest and most successful" Swiss sportsperson in history."

Is this opinion really appropriate in the first paragraph of the lead? Divergence5 (talk) 01:57, 24 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Should be changed from "is" a professional tennis player to "was" :(. Much sadness but the inspiration of my lifetime sadly retired last year... Pzonage (talk) 00:32, 8 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Not done: "Was" is only used when the subject is deceased. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 00:34, 8 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Remove the text about him being the greatest tennis player of all time, as this is biased and out-of-date, even if there's a time span written. Are we gonna put that there for every player who gets called the greatest ever by the media? i hope not. (talk) 23:09, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
